born in sao paulo to a deeply religious family, laercio has been around music all his life - amidst the challenges of daily life, his adventist parents would whip out all sorts of instruments whenever the situation would allow it, introducing a young and curious mind to a wide range of musical expressions. it should come as no surprise, then, that our hero quickly felt at home with notes and bars, choosing the flute as his first weapon of choice which he eagerly studied from the age of seven. even later non-musical career choices always reflected an infatuation with the world of sounds, like his stint as a capoeira teacher, combining martial arts, acrobatics and dance. with such a multi-faceted background in music, the inevitable tinkering with synthesizers and other means of electronic sound generation was rather a question of time than one of ambition, and sure enough we find laercio roaming the parties of the mid-noughties, absorbing the unique melange of styles and scales that inform club culture to this day. in stark contrast to most other rave inductees at the time, however, he never wanted to become a dj: his area of expertise is the performance, not the collecting and curating of other people s releases, and it shows in the unusual fact that laercio has held club residencies as a live electronic musician in venues like sao paulo s the edge without ever so much as touching a record. in these release l_cio has worked with d.o.c. mastermind gui boratto. and the result is music for the dancefloor.

polish wunderkind selvy inaugurates no bad days with the pops ep, four tracks of tropical & grandiose house music. pops opens up with a bold statement in ‘wishing well’, a peak­time epic with the sort of disney­via­john carpenter sweeping flourishes. following that is ‘basics’, perhaps the most playful of all the tracks: all bouncy synth melody, groovy bassline and dreamy pads. on the flip, ‘bump pump’ is arguably the most energetic helping on the ep, a percussive workout with gongs and all. if crash bandicoot was to make house music, this is close to how he’d sound. rounding the release off is the title track ‘pops’, perhaps the most original and subtle track with colourful vhs synths and strange sounds pinging across the mix.

young producer from amiens, duns scott first fell in love with rock and post rock. it’s after coming across the music of boards of canada, aphex twin and other warp artists, that he starts delving into the many subgenres of electronic music. eventually, he becomes a proper record digger of jazz, funk and disco, which will deeply affect his music writing. neidio is the outcome of a mixture of influences, each tune with its own idio yncratic sound and story. timelanding was drafted as if a real studio session with actual musicians was happening, the jazz vocal samples try to instate the synergy of musicians interacting with each other. neij is the imaginary soundtrack of a dream inspired by the art cover of the ep. mixed by duns scott / masterized by sven weisemann.

the aim of „métamorphose“ is to offer a voyage to the listener. the pieces really often start quite dark and then the mood turns into something intimate to catch the audience from the deeper spheres. sometimes it goes the other way as well: the track starts in a happy way and turns into a deeper vibe. by doing so the listener should notice his own feelings and try to completely let himself go. further he should be aware of his emotions: on the one hand the happy and melancholic and on the other hand the dark and rather monotonous side. in addition to the musical part to each track there is a specific artwork which was made while listening to the tracks and is based on the emotional expressions which were triggered by the sounds.

the music has come into my life when i was about 9 years old, thanks to one of my sisters tape with songs by bob marley and the wailers. so i switched from reggae to dub, from dub to jazz, from jazz to radical improvisation in a moment.now i m 33, and after producing pretty much any kind of music, i want to put together what i still like of dub music with that of the south of europe, which is the place where i grew up, melting everything together with vintage equipments and working with modern machines at the same time. playing and producing this music has been therapeutic for my head. making all this known is for me like seeding again the love for music without any distinction. andrea gabriele 1981 - 2015

in 2007, renowned french producer julien jabre tracked down the american gospel singer phyliss mckoy joubert on myspace. joubert was already a cult figure for house aficionados thanks to -stand on the word-, a song she wrote and performed with her -celestial choir- in 1982 that became a staple of the club scene in new york. it resurfaced as a mysterious bootleg in 2000. julien, who d fallen in love with the song, was eager to remix and officialy rerelease it. when he finally reached out to phyliss, she explained the multitrack tape had been lost. the only thing to do was rerecording it-along with 10 other tracks. today on french label elias, julien and the joubert singers are releasing -stand on the word- in its original and unique 1982 version (mistakenly named after larry levan) and 3 brand new mixes including a fresh dimitri from paris remix. that s how the good lord works!

the contemporaly house tracks which combine his established heavy groove, smoothness & beautiful essence! -secret floor 002- misterious, raw feeling & the roop of vocal sample are intertwined together to be miraculous sounds-saturday night- melodious and uplifting house track-o-nature- unique sound quality made by mpc & the trumpet sample greatly melt together -sky lounge- slow down...dope track with a spice of japanese sample blackoly profile:dj, beatmaker, and sound producer in tokyo, japan. born in 1981, his parents taught him to play in a forest and make what he wants to play by himself. started his dj carrer when he was 19.the first track he played was -bucktown- by smif-n-wessun. in the ensuing year he started making tracks under the name of dj shibaki. kept releasing his own tracks by casset tapes and cd-r and released -document-(12-) in 2006. after that he released mix cd -abstract- and -gravity-, and he has done around 100 of play in a year with his style of going back and forth freely among various sounds evolving abstract, breakbeats and hiphop.in 2009 he played together with dday one, dorian concept without knowing who they are. when he played together with dj kensei, he got a meaningfull comment -do you always do such a mix?- in 2010 he became immersed in creating tracks with mpc2000xl which was not not used for a long time, and started doing dj & live only with his own tracks by using cd-r & kaoss pad. thereafter he started making house tracks under the name of blackoly influenced by house djs & dancers whom he has played with since 2000s. the various music in his background & the dancer s excitement on the floor like -house- atmosphere greatly melted together and it led to build his unique sounds. in 2013 he released -dirty channel-(12-), in 2014 -dr.circus-(cd), and his work continues to this time.
